BELCAR - Brent Verheyen entered the previous round of the Belcar Endurance Championship at the very last moment in the Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo #20 of TotaalPlan Racing. The fast man from Dilsen-Stokkem won the race in France on his debut together with his team mate Cédric Wauters. Brent, son of former 24H of Zolder winner Guy Verheyen, is allowed to run the remaining Belcar races this season with the Bull from Sant'Agata Bolognese, including the 24H of Zolder. Both the Lamborghini's of the team will also get a new livery, by the skilled hand of The Composer, who earlier already designed the livery for the GHK Motorsport by T2 Racing Norma M20 FC.
"I am very grateful to Mario Martlé for the chance I got at the Belcar race in Magny-Cours," Brent Verheyen told Autosport.be. "That Cédric (Wauters, ed.) and I could thank him and the rest of the team with the victory was super. I felt at ease in the team and that was a part of the success that should not be underestimated. Apparently the team was also very satisfied with the collaboration and so I was asked to also finish the remaining races of the 2022 Belcar Endurance Championship on the Lamborghini."
"A dream come true, but still surprising," Verheyen continued. "This season I wanted to focus on the title in the Supercar Challenge that Ian Gepts and I are chasing on the Verheyen Motorsport by T2 Racing Norma M20 FC, in combination with some select races in the VW Fun Cup with DRM. I'm really looking forward to drive the 24 Hours of Zolder on the Lamborghini, never thought I would do that! The cars will also stand out, as The Composer has designed an incredible new livery for both cars. Myself and Cédric will drive the car with the blue rear wing, whilst the sister car will have a similar livery with a fluorescent yellow rear wing."
